Colin Singleton has since a young age dated only girls with the name Katherine (not Catherine). Ever since he started dating Katherines, they had started dumping him. All nineteen. K 19 just dumped him, and now Colin is depressed. He and his friend Hassan go on a road trip and meet a girl (named Lindsey) and her mother. Colin and Hassan stay with the two for a while and become friends, all while Colin works on a theorem based on a person’s predisposition to be a dumper or a dumpee.

I really like this book. It made me laugh just because of the writing style and the form of humor. This book is very funny and a great read. I highly recommend it to anybody who likes to laugh.

    Summary:
Colin Singleton has only ever had eyes for one type of girl: those named Katherine. As Colin’s senior year comes to a close, he suffers his worse relationship experience yet. Katherine 19 breaks his heart and leaves him. A desperate road trip with his best friend Hassan leads the pair to Gutshot, Tennessee. Friendship, anagrams, the Theorem of Underlying Katherine Predictability (created by Colin, child prodigy), and jealousy will help lead Colin on the hunt for the right girl.

    Evaluation:
I enjoyed reading this book. I first picked it up because I loved his other books, only to find it is nothing like them. The easy- going environment and original storyline John Green creates is enough to keep the pages turning. He brings his characters to life in real-life situations, relationships, and problems. This is a great book that readers can relate to as well.
