Summary: A teenage girl named Bella Swan moves from sunny Arizona to dreary Forks, WA, to live with her dad. She despises the grey, rainy weather, but it all changes when she meets the moody, mysterious Edward Cullen, and his strange, pale-faced family. She hears from an old friend on the nearby Indian Reservation that the Cullens are vampires. How far will she go to figure it out? And what will she do when she does?
Evaluation: It was an interesting read. I have heard many things about Twilight from both sides of the extreme, from those who burn it to those who worship it and its author. I also saw the movie and realized that the writing of the Twilight book is very good. When that book is made into a movie, the benefit of wonderful writing is taken away and we are just left with suck. Just suck.

Summary: Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is about a girl named Bella and her experiences while staying at her dad’s house. Bella Swan was a teenage girl that decided to spend time with her dad in Forks, WA. While she was living there, she went to Forks High School and a mischievous guy named Edward Cullan, also known as “the guy with the hair” seemed to catch her eye. Whenever she was in need of help, he seemed to pop up and protect her. Her thoughts started to expand drastically after Edward stopped a moving van from smashing Bella. She started thinking that it’s not normal for a human being to do that, so what if he wasn’t human? She started to do some research and found out that Edward wasn’t a human, he was a vampire. Finding out that he wasn’t human came with some responsibility and life threatening situations that she wasn’t necessarily expecting.
Evaluation: Stephenie Meyer is an outstanding author and this book made her twice as good. Twilight wasn’t just a book; it’s a book with emotion, excitement, and many thrills. Her writing made me feel as if I were in the book myself watching what was going on.

Summary: Twilight is a book about a teenaged girl who moves from a warm climate in Arizona, where she lived with her mom and her step-dad, living a fairly happy life, to Washington: gray and rainy. Here, she is met with a series of various strange events, mostly involving a boy that goes to her school. He is also, like her, from out of town. He had supposedly moved from Alaska with his foster family, and is now living with a doctor and his wife. As the girl adapts to her new life in Washington, she begins to know Edward a little bit better. This eventually leads to discovering a frightening and surreal secret he is keeping.
Evalulation: This story was an interesting read. Pretty much everyone’s heard of Twilight, but this was the first time I got to read the book. It started out being kind of bland and weird, but as I read more, I got more and more into it. I read the last hundred pages in one sitting! It was definitely a good read, which I would suggest to many other people, but mostly I would suggest to teenagers, seeing as that is what it is mostly about.
Rating: 4.5 stars
