The book Scorpia by Anthony Horowitz is a continued story from the Alex Rider series. Alex Rider is a teen spy who was raised by his uncle who taught him very odd life skills including fighting skills, diverse languages and other important skills. Alex didn’t know when he was younger but he was training to become a spy. He has been forced into the spy life of a British intelligence agency called MI6. Life as a spy has always been hard for him but now it is becoming harder. He has recently learned more about how his father died. He also learns that he was a part of a group of assassins called Scorpia. Alex is goes on a trip to Venice to try and learn more about what his father did at Scorpia. With his digging into Scorpia’s business he gets captured by them and a man recognizes his last name, Rider. They take him to the woman in charge and she tells him a lot of details about his father’s death and what happened. He is very upset about some of the news. He has learned that someone he has been close to was responsible for his father’s death. Mrs. Jones, who works for MI6. Alex, being very upset decides to follow through with Scorpia and goes through a series of trainings. Scorpia sees a lot of potential and well-rounded skills he has. After his training has been complete he receives his first mission. His mission is to kill Mrs. Jones.

I personally think that Scopria is an amazing and thrilling addition to the Alex Rider series. Every book just gets better and better with more thrilling adventures and surprising information. I would say if you enjoy reading books that have many exciting moments, different twists in the plot, and many solved mysteries, then this is definitely the book for you. Throughout the story, there was never a time when I wanted to close the book. Every part of this book is filled with action and questions that will constantly pop up in your head, making it impossible to close and even finish. When I finished this book I was right onto the next one. This series just keeps getting better and better. From past questions being answered and a series of action filled events, this book really kept me excited to flip to the next page and I would recommend this to any reader.
