One Response to “Packing for Mars, Mary Roach”

  1. Kevin L. Says:

The book Packing for Mars by Mary Roach is about a spaceship program that takes representative from America, Asia and other places to see how they coop with one and another. This book takes place in the point of view of an person that is like the director of the program. The representatives weren’t picked because they had something they all have in common, no they were picked because they did things some what different from each other to test how they react to situation from the program. For the most part this book talks about the program, but a few of the other chapters go on and talk about related topic like other launches like the Apollo Launch and the use of rovers. They also that about what training it takes to go to space and how you can go to space or lose the chance to go space.

For me the book was descent. I didn’t like how slow it was to start off with the book later the author starts add mild humor into the story. Personally I’d like this book if I was more into space or into space engineering but I am not so wasn’t the best for me. But overall the book is good tons of information about space and the space training and what it takes to go to space.
