One Response to “Isaac’s Storm, Erik Larson”

  1. Savannah T. Says:

Summary: The book Isaac’s Storm is about the Hurricane of 1900. In this book, Isaac Cline, a meteorologist in Galveston, believes it is impossible for a hurricane to hit the city of Galveston, Texas. He then realizes he was wrong. A hurricane hits, killing thousands of people. It left the city devastated and in need of help.

Evaluation: I didn’t love this book because I found it to be somewhat boring. Although the book did a good job covering the before and after history of the Galveston Hurricane of 1900, I felt it was not very intriguing to read. Also, I felt it could be confusing at times. For example, the science behind how a hurricane is formed and how meteorologists can predict when one will happen.
