One Response to “Black Like Me, John Howard Griffin”

  1. Kira Hsu-Large Says:

Black Like Me tells is a memoir of a white man who walked in a black mans shoes, by darkening his skin, and following the same rules that African Americans were forced to follow during that time. John Howard Griffin talked about his experiences as a black man from the people he met, to the way he was treated by Caucasians. I My questions weren’t answered in the second half of the book, such as why Griffin made the decision to become a black man, and what impact the decision had on his family and friend relationships.I would recommend this book to people who are interested in historical stories, or people who just like to read memoirs.
